How does the Step Challenge Work?

A smart device such as a Fit Bit, smart phone, etc, is required in order to track your steps. Prior to the Challenge, registrants will receive an email explaining how to download and use the app. Participants can plot their own course, or use one of the courses below. All steps taken from 12:01 am on Oct. 2nd through 11:59 pm on Oct 9th, will be counted by the app.

Swag Bag Pickup:

$25 per person

Packets may be picked up at various stores and restaurants around the village. An event T-shirt designed by our T-shirt contest winner will be included, as well as other fun giveaways and recognition for participating.

Participants that achieve 90,000 step or more over the 9 day event, will be eligible for prizes. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in two categories: ages 17 and below and ages 18 and above. A few of the awesome prizes include restaurant and business gift certificates, a golf pass, pool pass and many more!

Participants can pickup 500 bonus steps by stopping at various locations and scanning their QR code. Limit once a day per location, but visit as many as you like in a day!

Participating Restaurants:

Whether or not you are enrolled in the step challenge, you can help your community by frequenting participating restaurants. A percentage of sales will be donated to Rotary Club of Glenview Sunrise, when you say "Hero Hustle." More information to come!

Course Options:

Participants may also plot their own course or use exercise equipment; anything that will add to the step count.
